| A model for the management of water quality in the Weihe River Basin in Shandong Province has been developed by in corporating a river water quality model,an agricultural non-point source spollution model and a reservoir eutrophication model. The QUAL2EU Model was selected for the river water quality model and modified to include the functions of simulating COD transformation,sediment resuspension and non-point input from cage fish farming. Both agricultural non-point sources pollution model and reservoir eutrophication model were technically processed to organically in corporate with the river water quality model. It was found that the results from the calculation based on the model thus developed are well coincided with those from actualmonitoring. The developed model has been applied as a powerful tool for local water quality management and decision-making. |
