Treatment efficiency of domestic wastewater by Recirculated Membrane Bio Reactor showed that under various sludge age and hydraulic retenton time,stable performance was observed and the COD concentration of the sludge supernatant and membrane filtrate averaged to be 19.5mg/L and 5.3mg/L respectively.The higher treatment capability of the system relies on the volume of concentration zone.A formula to calculate volumetric loading rate was obtained which showed its dependence on three ratios designated by α ,the COD concentration of filtrate over that of the sludge suspension,β,the concentration zone volume over reactor volume and λ ,the effluent flow rate over the recirculation rate.It consequently indicated that the volumetric loading rate can be elevated through increasing filtration rate of enlarging concentration zone volume. |
