An internal airlift loop biorector with cells immobilized onto ceramic honeycomb support(IALBR-CICHS)was developed based on the bubble columns(BC)and airlift(AL)bioreactor by installing a ceramic honeycomb support in the draught tube.Their hydrodynamics were respectively studied by the tracer element to determine their retention time distribution (RTD).Experiment and theory analysis indicated that the IALBR-CICHS had more efficacious reactive volume rate( η )and less short circuit rate( λ )for fluid flow compared with the BC and AL bioreactor. |
