| This paper summarized the physical environmental settings including regional geological background,coastal oceanography and ecology,atmospheric features,and land vegetation and ecosystems of Yangpu Economic Development Zone (YEDZ).YEDZ is one of the best areas in environmental quality of China.Now,however,with the development of a series of proposed new industrial projects,various consequent environmental problems and conflicts have risen and will rise.Based on the survey of the present environmental status and future economic development of YEDZ,a strategy framework of environmental protection and pollution control is presented in the paper for solving the environmental problems through optimum spatial distribution and functional allocation of environment,rational and ennvironmental-friendly direction in industrial development proposal selecting,effective institution of management and technological approaches. |
