Biochemical mechanism of microbial co-metabolism,progress in its research, and its role in the biodegradation of chlorinated organic compounds were dealt with in this article. The prospect of microbial co-metabolism, a biological process which has not yet been fully understood,to be applied in the treatment of refractory compounds such as chlorinated organic compounds was also suggested. |
