为了减轻汽车尾气对环境的污染,具有特殊化学性能的铂族元素(platinum group elements,PGEs)作为催化剂材料被广泛应用于汽车尾气催化转化器(vehicle exhaust catalysts,VECs)中. PGEs及其化合物是一类高致敏率的物质,部分PGEs化合物还具有致癌效应; 研究发现,即使含量处于较低水平,PGEs也可对微生物的生长产生负面影响[1]. 三元催化转化器使用过程中由于机械磨损、 化学反应等,向环境排放含有PGEs的微粒逐渐增多,也将导致其潜在的人体健康风险日趋明显[2]. 最近研究表明,在城市的不同环境介质中[3, 4, 5, 6]都发现了PGEs浓度上升的趋势,且PGEs浓度增高与机动车VECs的使用年限显著相关[7,8]. Dubiella-Jackowska等[9]还发现,电子工业、 化学工业和玻璃生产等工业催化领域也是城市环境中PGEs的重要来源.
截止到2013年底,厦门市机动车保有量达到104万辆,超过了新加坡、 香港等国际大都市; 且以每年近20%的速率递增,势必向环境排放大量PGEs. 道路灰尘是城市机动车排放PGEs后赋存的重要介质,其所产生的环境问题需引起足够重视. 因此,本研究以道路灰尘作为对象,分析厦门市不同功能区PGEs的污染状况及其主要来源,以期为今后城市PGEs的污染防治提供科学依据.
1 材料与方法 1.1 采样站位与时间本研究选取厦门市城区主要交通干道15个采样点,鼓浪屿旅游区11个采样点,海沧新阳工业区13个采样点以及隧道2个采样点. 其中,厦门城区采样点分别为: 枋钟-环岛路口(1)、 环岛干道(2)、 会展路(3)、 洪文路(4)、 金尚-莲前西路口(5)、 仙岳路-成功大道路口(6)、 枋钟-成功大道路口(7)、 长岸路(8)、 仙岳-东渡路口(9)、 湖滨北路(10)、 湖滨南路(11)、 厦禾路(12)、 思明南路(13)、 集美-同集南路口(14)以及集美大道(15). 不同功能区的特点为: 城区交通拥挤,车流量巨大; 鼓浪屿旅游区是禁止机动车行驶的岛屿,距离城区不到1 km; 工业区位于郊区,除大型货车和厂区作业车,极少有机动车行驶; 隧道为城区快速路,车流量大.
厦门市城区每个采样点采集2~3份样品,旅游区每个景点采集1份样品,工业区每个路段采集1~2份样品,每条隧道采集3份样品,共采集样品77份. 采样时间为2012年10月,在天气保持2周干燥后,于工作日道路清扫前,采用毛刷收集道路边0.5 m以内的道路灰尘,用稀硝酸清洗后的聚乙烯铲装入聚乙烯样品袋. 除去样品中沙石和树叶枝条等杂质,在室内自然风干,研磨过200目筛子,低温保存,待分析.
1.2 主要仪器和试剂智能微波消解/萃取仪(XT-9912型,上海新拓仪器公司)和电感耦合等离子体质谱仪(7500C型,美国Agilent公司). 实验用水为Mill-Q超纯水系统制得(>18.2 MΩ ·cm). 所用试剂包括优级纯HF、 HNO3和HCl(国药集团化学试剂有限公司)等.
1.3 样品前处理具体步骤如下: ①准确称取样品250 mg转移到PTFE高压密封消解罐中,加入10 mL王水和1 mL HF溶液; ②将消解罐装入微波消解仪,分两步消解,第一步微波功率为1 000 W,120℃消解20 min; 第二步微波功率为1 200 W,130℃消解20 min; ③将消解罐置于加热器上面蒸发至干,再加入3 mL浓HCl蒸发至干,如此反复2次,确保HF完全蒸发,加入5 mL 0.5 mol ·L-1 HCl溶液后静置; ④用注射器取上清液1 mL,经过滤后用0.5mol ·L-1 HCl定容到10 mL; ⑤样品液用Dowex AG50W-X8阳离子交换树脂柱净化,收集滤液,-4℃保存待上机测定.
1.4 PGEs含量测定采用电感耦合等离子体质谱仪进行道路灰尘中PGEs的测定. 仪器主要参数: 射频功率1 550 W; 载气流速0.75L ·min-1; 辅助气流速0.40L ·min-1. 测定所选用的同位素分别为105Pd、 195Pt、 103Rh. 本研究中Pd、 Pt和Rh的检出限分别为0.38、 0.04和0.015 ng ·g-1,回收率为85%~116%.
2 结果与分析 2.1 厦门城区道路灰尘中PGEs的含量水平厦门城区主要交通干道道路灰尘样品中PGEs含量测定结果见表 1. 可以看出厦门城区交通干道道路灰尘中Pd含量明显高于Pt和Rh,3种元素含量均高出地壳丰度值两个数量级以上[10]. 道路灰尘中Pd、 Pt和Rh的标准偏差较大,表明城区主干道道路灰尘中PGEs含量水平存在明显差异,这与各干道不同的车流量有关.
随着VECs技术的发展以及相关排放标准的限制,不同国家或地区机动车排放到环境中的PGEs各元素间也将呈现不同的比例关系. 国外大部分城市使用富Pt型VECs,使得道路灰尘样品中Pt/Pd、 Pt/Rh比值均大于1. Pan等[11]研究发现中国和印度在不同时期VECs中PGEs的成分存在明显差异,可用来指示该城市VECs技术的发展方向. 目前,我国汽车市场以富Pd型VECs为主,也导致了厦门城区道路灰尘中出现的低Pt/Pd和高Pd/Rh比值(表 1); 这与国内北京[12],上海[13]的相关研究结果一致.
如表 2所示,与国内其他城市相比,厦门城区道路灰尘中PGEs含量处于较高水平,是上海和北京的近两倍. 据统计,本研究期间厦门市机动车拥有量为92万辆[14],远远低于上海和北京研究期间的238万辆[15]和402万辆[16]. 但由于厦门市地域面积小,城市洁净程度高,道路灰尘少,机动车排放的PGEs稀释程度相对较低,从而导致厦门城区PGEs含量明显高于国内其他城市. 而在世界范围内,厦门城区的Pt处于中等水平,特别是Pd和Rh的含量已经超过较早使用VECs的西方发达国家城市,说明厦门城区道路灰尘中PGEs含量在短期内快速增加,且达到一定的污染水平.
如图 1所示,厦门市道路灰尘中PGEs含量水平为: 隧道>城区>工业区>旅游区. 城区道路灰尘中Pd、 Pt和Rh的平均含量分别为246.82、 95.45和51.76 ng ·g-1. 隧道PGEs含量则最高,Pd、 Pt和Rh含量分别是城区的2.9、 3.4和2.3倍. 这是由于隧道通风条件差,机动车排放的PGEs大部分沉降到道路灰尘中,无法通过降雨进行冲刷或者空气流动进行稀释扩散而大量累积. 与城区相比,工业区的PGEs整体处于相对较低的水平. 工业区位于厦门岛外海沧区,工业区内除大型货车及工厂作业车,少有机动车通行. 从PGEs各元素比例来看,工业区内Pt相对较高,说明除了机动车排放外,其他电子化工以及冶金等工业生产也可能向其周边环境排放Pt[9]. 由于禁止机动车通行,旅游区道路灰尘PGEs含量最低,而厦门城区及周边地区PGEs可能在海陆风影响下,经大气迁移扩散进入该旅游区,成为其PGEs的主要来源.
图 2显示了厦门城区不同交通干道道路灰尘中PGEs含量的分布. PGEs含量最高值出现在仙岳路与成功大道路口(6)以及金尚路与莲前西路口(5). 这两路段分别是厦门城区东西向与南北向最繁忙的主干道交叉口和城区中部重要的干道,车流量大使得PGEs含量较高; 而同集南路(14)为郊区干道,车流量较少,PGEs含量最低. 这说明了PGEs含量的高低与车流量的多少密切相关,这与Cicchella等的研究结果一致[26]. VECs的使用年限、 车速等[27]也是道路灰尘中PGEs含量水平高的重要影响因素,厦门城区众多交通干道经常性堵车,车辆长时间怠速行驶,也将排放出更多的PGEs. 另外,在厦门疏港道路与西部主干道的长岸路(8)和仙岳路与东渡路交叉口(9)也发现道路灰尘中Pt含量较高.
(1)厦门城区道路灰尘中Pd、 Pt、 Rh的平均浓度(范围)分别为: 246.82(58.68~765.52)、 95.45(42.14~371.36)和51.76(21.04~119.72) ng ·g-1. 与国内外其他城市相比,总体处于较高的水平,特别是厦门城区PGEs污染问题需要引起足够的重视.
(2)厦门市不同功能区道路灰尘PGEs的污染水平为: 隧道>城区>工业区>旅游区,其中,无降雨冲刷和扩散条件差是隧道中PGEs含量大量积累的主要原因,而大气迁移扩散则是影响旅游区道路灰尘中PGEs含量水平的关键因素.
(3)厦门城区不同交通干道中,仙岳路与成功大道路口以及金尚路与莲前西路口PGEs含量最高,而郊区干道PGEs含量最小,这主要与机动车流量、 车速及车辆行驶特征等因素有关.
(4)PGEs元素间的相关性分析结果显示,Pd和Rh含量水平显著相关,Pt和Pd、 Pt和Rh的相关性较差,表明厦门城区交通干道道路灰尘中PGEs除大部分来自机动车排放外还存在Pt其他排放源的影响.
